Route format – 7.5 km exit, 5 laps of 33 km, 7.5 km return
At exit 7.5 and  laps of 33 the roads will be closed to traffic.
At return 7.5 only the current that the cyclists move will be closed
Run
Route length – 42.195 km
Route form – 6 loops of 7.02 km.

RECEIPT OF ATHLETE PACKAGES

At the registration office receive your package, sign the waiver and show the Medical certificate or athletes id.

Bike check-in The transition zone will be open on Saturday from 16: 30-21.00

and  Sunday 05:00-06:30  for  Sunday  event.

From Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning the transition zone will be guarded.

Throughout the duration of the race the athlete’s number must be clearly visible.

Swim: mandatory cap of the event.

Bike: number on the seat post and on the left and right of the helmet.

Run: The number on the front in a visible place. (It is very handy to have a race belt for the BIB number otherwise an elastic band or rubber band will do).

External aid  or any form of external assistance is forbidden.

Drafting behind another athlete in the bike leg is forbidden.

The supervision on this will be by the event organizer.

For any misconduct a penalty of TEN minutes (mandatory stop in the transition zone, penalty box) shall be imposed. Second notice is a DSQ.

Group formations are not allowed and the distance between the competitors will be three bike lengths. Bike Safety Helmet is mandatory. MP3 phones and various sound devices are prohibited. Athletes should always stay on the right side of the road and respect the instructions of volunteers at place.

Any form of external assistance is prohibited.

To enter you need to wear your helmet, timing chip on the left leg, and have the bike with you for inspection, as well as the back of the BIB filled with the needed information

 

Like every year the race will be on roads closed to traffic. A lot of volunteers with the assistance of the Greek Police will take care of your safety, But beware! We all know the lack of education that exists..

 

 

 

 

 

You must discard your empty bottles or empty packs of energy aids in the bands (50 meters for the bike and 10 meters for running) at the feeding stations to make it easier for volunteers to organize.

After leaving the water we head to the T1

 

BIKE
After exiting the water we head to the transition zone where we leave wearing our helmets and cycle past the demarcation. The route is as follows: 7.5 km out, five laps of 33 km and 7.5 km return.
In more detail, we cycle until we reach the first water supply station (7.6 km) A, from there we continue on the “road of God” as the locals call it, to turn around at the second water-feeding supply station B after 16, 5 km, return to the first water supply station A and repeat the loop.

When you have done 5 loops (and completed 173.5 kms) you are heading back to the T2 (same way as the going out). The course is almost flat, there is a 510 meters of total altitude gain.

RUN

After putting the bike into T2 (at the same place you took it from) it’s time for running.
The route is a right turn, 42.195 km long (6 laps of 7.02 km).  At each loop (2,2 km from the start (feeding station A) and after 5 kms (feeding station B) there will be a fuel station [(water, electrolytes and cola in glasses) Bananas and salty snacks ], there will be water every 2.5 kms

BIKE

After the swim exit you are getting in the T1. To leave the T1 you have to wear your helmet. You can ride the bike after the exit of the zone (sign on the road)
The route is as follows: one lap. In more detail, we cycle until we reach the first water supply station (7.5 km) point A, we keep cycling to the U-TURN point B, from there we are heading back to the transition zone the same way back.

RUN
After putting the bike into T2 (at the same place you took it from) it’s time for running. The route is a right turn, 5 km long (2 laps of 5 km). At 2.24 km of the route there will be a refreshment station [(water, electrolytes and cola in glasses) Bananas and salty snacks]. There will be a water supply station at 4.5 km (turnaround)
